Song of Summer

I am just in love with my manicure today.  Song of summer is a beautiful soft green by Sinful colors.  It was released in the country charm collection.  I paired it with a pretty glitter by Sinful colors called Call you later.  I think this is a core color.  This is a perfect soft manicure.  Song of Summer applied so smooth and evenly, especially for a light color.  This is two coats.  I used one coat of Call you Later on my ring fingers . Lastly I topped it all off with a coat of out the door topcoat.

Mani Mondays!! Dots theme!

If You have not heard of Mani Mondays you should head over to Facebook and check out the lovely group of ladies who are showing off their themed manis every Monday  https://www.facebook.com/manimondays  This week is dots and my first week participating in Mani Mondays.

This time of summer and well into the fall there are ladybugs all around, and I love them!  I knew I wanted to do my dot mani using ladybugs as my inspiration.  This was a little bit of a challenge for me because a professional when it comes to manicures I am not!  This is my first drawing on a nail and even though my little ladybug manicure is not perfect I think it is adorable and I am happy with it for my first real nail art attempt other than just polish, glitter and accent nails.

I created this mani using a dotting tool, a toothpick and a tiny brush that is on the other end of my dotting tool.  I painted my right hand just in all dots.  I knew I would not be able to recreate the ladybug close enough to do it on both accent nails!  I hope you enjoy my cute little ladybug mani. :)  Happy painting and Happy Mani Monday!! xoxo Jaime

Fun Friday Fingers

This week for Fridays fun nails of the day I choose a bright blue with lots of shimmer!  This polish is by StudioM, which is sold at Meijer stores. It  is called Glitter Outerspace.

Indoor natural lighting

Glitter Outerspace is full of shimmery glitters with some holographic sparkle as well. I tried to photograph the holo-goodness this polish has to offer , but was not exactly successful.

I just love this polish.  The blue is so vibrant and fun.  It can be a little tricky to work with as this particular formula is a little thick. The pictures below are 2 coats and a topcoat.  I always do wear a basecoat.  To me it is worth the added work to have this beautiful sparkly blue on my fingertips!  I hope you enjoy this color as much as I do.  Happy Painting!!  xoxo

Patent Pleasure Nail of the Day and Review

Today I am wearing a new Sinful Shine from the Hot Shine display found at Walgreens.  The color is Patent Pleasure.  It is a lovely orange with a green micro shimmer effect.  I had the hardest time photographing the green in this polish but in person, though subtle, it adds a little something extra to this polish.

I found the formula very easy to work with like all of the other Sinfulshines.  Patent Pleasure goes on so smooth and shiny.  I did use a fast dry top coat but these have a great shine without a topcoat as well.  If you are not familiar with Sinfulshines they are from Sinful Colors and are sold exclusively at Walgreens.  They have a silver top instead of the regular black tops,  The are priced at $2.99, which personally I think is awesome since I find the formula fantastic!

Outdoor full sun

Lastly I am including a bottle shot indoors using a flash to do my best to show the green shimmer

I am happy to have this polish in my collection as I do not own a lot of orange polishes.  My overall opinion of Patent Pleasure is it a great orange to add to any collection!!
Thank you for reading and Happy polishing!  xoxo Jaime

Introduction

I thought my first blog should be an introduction to share a little about myself.  I will be 33 this month.  I have been married to my best friend for almost 12 years.  I love animals, growing things and beauty.  I love butterflies so much because at a hard time in our life I needed a sign that everything was going to be alright.  My husband was diagnosed with stage III Melanoma cancer four years ago.  Lots of.scary surgeries and treatments were needed.  I was sitting outside crying and asking God for a sign that everything would be ok.  A beautiful butterfly landed on me and just was there gently opening and closing its wings.  I immediately felt better, stronger and at peace everything would be ok.  Lots of scares but everything is ok.  Hubby is in remission.  That's where the butterflies come in.  This blog wont be about that but I did want to share what the deal is with butterflies.  I love all things beauty and feminine.   Nail polish being my number one beauty obsession!  I watch several girls on Youtube and follow blogs and Instagram, and it looks like so much fun!  I am to shy and self conscious for youtube so I post nails of the day on Instagram and always feel like I have a lot to say about polish and makeup .  So with encouraging words from a fellow nail polish junkie the blog was born.  :)It's fun!  Thanks for reading!  xoxo Jaime
