Nails by Tataw Summer collection

Press Sample

Hello my fellow nail polish junkies!!  Today I have a new Indie brand to tell you about.  Nails by Tataw is owned and operated by Victoria whom is a sweetheart of a young lady and she just graduated from High School!  Congratulations Victoria.  I have a special place in my heart for new Indie polish makers.  There is just something special about telling people about new brands and trying out new polishes!  I  love swatching and reviewing for them and always try to do my best! Victoria already has some polishes on her website but this is her new summer collection releasing June 6th and available for pre sale May 30th.

Many of the polishes in this collection have a metallic finish so first I want to share a few tips about metallic polishes.  They can be absolutely stunning as you can see below but can show your brush strokes.  When working with any metallic polishes I find it best to use as few brush strokes as possible and you will be fine.  The shiny factor is worth the extra effort in my book!!

Let me get a few things out of the way.  The formula on all of these is nice.  Nails by Tataw is five free. They flow easily on to the nail and have a lot of opacity.  There is one sheerer polish in the collection and I will talk about that when we get there. All polishes are shown with two coats and a shiny topcoat.  I am trying out, and so far enjoying a new one and when I get to the halfway point of my bottle I will share a review!  I have somewhat perfected my hand pose for full size bottles but still struggle to find the prettiest with mini bottle so please excuse any awkward poses!!

First up is Lavender Voltage.  This is a lovely lavender metallic polish with silver shimmer.  Now I am not a polish maker so I am not sure if its actual shimmers added in or just the metallic properties of the polish.  Such a lovely color.

Next we have Sunkissed, which is a metallic orange.  I don't wear a lot of orange so I was a little nervous if I could show this one well.  It is a very pretty orange and I know any orange polish lover would love the shade of it!

Here we have Fairy Tales and Yacht Parties.  This is a metallic polish that has a pearl like finish.  I have the hardest time capturing white polishes!  The finish is a bit hard to photograph.  I hope the Macro will give you an idea of the finish.

Next we have a beautiful blue metallic polish called Frozen? I Make EM' Melt!  I had to be the most careful with this polish and brush strokes.  This is true of any metallic polish and I found that a good fast drying topcoat smooths most of them out.

Here we have Partying Teal Morning.  How cute is that name!!  This polish is hard to describe, I am not really sure if it is considered a metallic.  It is a sheerer teal polish with the most lovely purple shift in it!!!  It is really unique and unlike any polish I have personally seen!!  You can see in the macro how beautiful it is!!

Last but certainly not least we have Ultraviolet Sensation.  As the name applies it is a violet polish, which has the most beautiful golden shimmer throughout!  It is just gorgeous!  Can you see that golden shimmer.  It just goes perfectly with the violet!

What is my final verdict on Nails by Tataw you ask......she gets a big thumbs up from me.  I was blown away that she is so young with such a desire to have her own business and bring lovely polishes to the nail community.  This collection as a whole is nice especially if you love that metallic shine.  The standouts to my personal preference are Partying Teal Morning Ultraviolet Sensation and Lavender Voltage.  You can follow Victoria on Instagram HERE and you can go visit her website and store HERE.  This summer collection is available for presale on May30th.  Thanks for coming by and happy polishing!!! xoxo Jaime

Glitter Lambs Snowcone Trio

Press Sample

This is the Snowcone Trio from Glitter Lambs!!  This is a collection of three icy shredded glitter polishes.  These are so fun and absolutely remind me of shaved ice or snowcones!!  Since all three of these are basically the same formula I will talk about that as a whole.  The formula is good and I had no trouble getting plenty of shredded glitters on my brush. These are all in clear bases. This is two coats of each glitter over a coordinating cream base color. I had the hardest time getting clear photos this time around...totally because of the shredded goodness!

Bubblegum Snowcone is exactly what you would think it would be!  Pink Pink Pink!!  It is full of shredded glitters and tiny holographic glitters!

Lime Snowcone is full of shredded green glitter and gold holographic glitter!  So fun!!

Grape Snowcone is my favorite of these three I think!  Simply because it has the most holographic glitter in it!!  Purple shredded glitter and a ton of holographic glitters!!!!

I always enjoy working with Jamie from Glitter Lambs!  She is the sweetest and her polishes are always fun and consistent to what I have come to expect from her line!  Personally I love shredded glitter polishes.  They are so unique!   Head on over and check out the all the fun polishes in her store HERE!

Glitter Lamb Goodies

Press Sample

Hello friends!  Today I have a couple Glitter Lamb polishes to show you.  It has been a little while since I have blogged and swatched so I'm feeling a little rusty and not all that confident so please bear with me as I try to get back in the swing of things.

First up is the first no glitter polish from Glitter Lambs.  Let me tell you that she created a beautiful shimmering blue polish.  The name is absolutely perfect, Blue Butter cream Icing!  Sounds yummy right?  I used three coats to get the look below.  The first coat does go on quite sheer but it builds perfectly No streaking or bald spots when you apply the next coat.

I had to top it all off in the end with a favorite from Glitter lambs in my book.  Jellybeans is so fun and makes a lovey glitter topper over any polish but I think it goes so nice with Blue Butter cream Icing!

Next up we have what is now another favorite of all of my Glitter Lambs. It went right to the top of the list with the first stroke.  It is called Tea party and it is so girly and perfect in every way!  It is a clear based glitter with soft pink hexs and a variety of gold holographic glitters.  There was no fishing to get the gold goodies out.  It is very evenly mixed and I think the pairing is perfect!  I decided to swatch this over peach and then add a sweet bow.

So if you are interested in getting you some Glitter Lamb goodies head over to her shop HERE.  She has a wide range of beautiful glitter polishes.  Be sure to follow her on Instagram to see lots of other swatches!!
